This may sound like a silly question, my surgery is 4/29 (this Wednesday) and somehow I am just now thinking about pain in my actual stomach where the sleeve is made. Did anyone have pain in that area, other than the suture sites and gas pain? Thanks in advance...just wondering if it feels like they have just cut something off....probably thinking too much.

My actual stomach did not hurt at all. The only pain I had was from my largest incision, and even at that, I only had to use pain relief for two days after I got home. I did not even have the shoulder gas that others have suffered.

I haven't had any pain in my stomach. I don't know what your surgeon does but mine implanted a ball that I wore around my neck that administered a numbing agent to my abdomen. He said I might feel some pain because of my hernia repair but I didn't. The numbing worked great.

My stomach kinda burned a bit when I first woke up, but a bag of IV nexium took care of that. I had no other pain.
