Please read What an aweful experience I Just had

I am 6 days post op and wow what an aweful experience I just had, I was worried because I didnt get all of my protein in so I made a shake before bed, I think well I know I drank to much, all of a sudden I was so nausous and began to sweat , drool and dry heave to vomit up the shake. I had so much gas in me that it sounded like a seal over and over and eventually I did get the shake up. It hurrt so bad, it made me cry. I feel like I am starting over again to heal, boy am I sore. I am worried I hope I did not hurt anything , Has this ever happened to any of you ? Thanks so much for reading this, its a really scary feeling it makes me question myself on getting the band. makes me think of the flu, So Scary

kimmom,

I am so sorry to hear what you just went through! :omg: Seriously, please know someone is awake and thinking of you!

I can't give any advice as I am yet to be banded (should be sometime in July).

I hope you feel better real soon! Don't feel bad about your decision. You did the right thing it just doesn't feel like it right now because you just had an aweful experience. Remember you are begining a new lifestyle. I am sure it takes time to learn to live with the band. You just hit a bump in the road. Keep driving!:)

Feel better :)

Kimmom,

I'm up too. I was banded on Wednesday and feel crappy. I have a very heavy feeling in my chest that won't go away and is making it hard to breathe. I'm not taking in more than 8oz of shake or Soup a day and some Water. We need to learn to slow down. My doctor said not to worry if you don't get in the Protein for the first two weeks at all, so I'm not trying. Take it easy and slow down. Remember, don't think that you need anything unless you are hungry. Don't wait to be full. Good luck.

Thank you so much for the encouraging words It really means alot Honest. I think I will try to lay down now night night

hi everyone

From what I have read on here, after you have had that happen, you need to stay on Clear Liquids for the next day, to let yourself heal. I have not yet exprienced it, nor do I hope to, but I am sure it will happen.....

Take it easy, and DONT BEAT YOURSELF UP OVER IT.....

just get up tommorow with the new day and start again...

good luck, it will get better...
