Nausea on Pre-op diet

Hello all. My doc put me on a pre-op diet that consists of a protein shake for breakfast and lunch. For dinner I can have low carb meal. I'm extremely nauseous throughout the day and usually have a headache by 5:00. Any suggestions on how I can feel better or prevent this from happening?

I'm on day 2 of my preop diet and I agree, it doesn't feel great. Ive been drinking herbal tea and low sodium/low fat broth in between protein shakes (both are ok on my plan). The warm liquids seem to help.

BTW, you're doing a great thing for yourself!

Hope you get some relief!

Is it possible to have the low carb meal at lunch so you dont feel so weak mid-day?
