Packing the bag!

HELP!!! My mom and I are both scheduled for surgery April 15th. I need to know, what are the necessities to bring? What did you bring that you didn't need? What did you wish you had brought but didn't, and what did you bring that you were glad you did??

I brought something to wear home...PJ's and I didnt use anyhting else. I brought a tablet for my mom to use while she was waiting but honestly, I needed nothing.

I brought a extension cord for my electronics, Chapstick, face wipes, Biotene mouth spray, gas-x, face wipes, a glade plug in, heating pad.....that's the only "odd" things the rest was soft clothing and toiletries.
