  • It will get better! I was in and out of it the first week after surgery but after the first week things were a LOT better. I kind of had the same feeling of, "OMG what did I just do to myself and WHY?

Chickadee80, I need help with a question. I am pre-op. One month in to my 3 month 1200 calorie. I looks like I may have surgery in early August. We want to go on a trip to South Carolina, about 12 hours by car. Should I go before or after surgery? How long after surgery would it be safe to travel. Thanks for your help.

Hi Joanne. I would ask your doctor about traveling and when it's safe. When I had my surgery It was an hour's drive away and I went home with no problems two days after surgery. But one hour is a far cry from a 12 hour drive. Definitely don't drive yourself, you'll most likely be doped up on pain meds.

Hi-

Wondering if you are still on BP. I currently have the band and have had tremendous trouble with it and am having it removed in two days. I will then be on an insurance mandated 3 month supervised diet and will have my sleeve surgery at the end of September. I am looking for a buddy for support with the sleeve process. I need help with only eating small portions and exercising on a daily basis! I have lost 100 pounds before (I weigh 230) but regained the weight. I am almost 29, married, and from NJ. Hope to hear from you!!!

Hi I am a year and 1/2 out and I have fallen back into bad habits and could use some help. I have gained 30lbs back and I am so sick to think I did this to myself but now I am at a loss on what to do. I never did do any real exercise. I was able to lose all my weight just by eating what I was supposed to but now I am back to eating sweets and lots of it. HELP

Hi chickadee, I was sleeved 3/15 and I'm looking for a mentor to help keep me on track. I'm down 65lbs. But I struggle with things I can pack in lunch bag. I'm doing better with ex cerise. I joined a gym with a lot of variety so I'm not bored. I very lazy with measuring my food intake. I was a former ww points person. I've always hated measuring how did you deAl with this aspect. I've got to master this if I want to be successful. Thanks for your tips, input.
