New to this...

Hello! I had the gastric bypass on 2/24/15. I just advanced from clear liquids to full liquids. Started my vitamins again. I was wondering when I should start protein shakes? I would also appreciate any advice you guys have for me ????... Thank you in advance

You should have gotten specific timelines for everything from your surgeons office / NUT. Look through your materials or call them. I have seen where this differs so best to get your specific directions.

Most individuals that undergo surgery find that their taste buds change. There are a variety of Protein shakes on the market available. It is important to find one that you can tolerate. So experiment.

Immediately after surgery, the primary divers are meeting your protein, Vitamins and fluids requirements. Meals are secondary. Your body is converting stored fat into energy. Thus you lose weight.

I had my surgery 2/24/15 also! I'm on shakes now. I use Adkins shakes

I can drink about 1/2 a shake at a time.
