Sick before surgery.....

I went to the dr today with upper respiratory crud. He gave me a steroid shot, clindamycin shot, steroid dose pack and levaquin. I am already a ton better....BUT surgery is scheduled for Tuesday. The doc today said if I was better I would be fine....anyone have this happen so close to surgery? Kind of freaking out. This liquid diet has kicked my butt and I really don't want to turn around now......

I've read this topic a lot on here. As long as you aren't running a fever you should be fine.

I'm sure a lot is stress induced. I know I have definitely bee stressing out about this. Thanks :)

Hopefully you will be fine. However please realize that if you are still have respiratory issues, it makes anesthesia a bit more challenging. It's better to be safe than sorry and postpone rather than risk complications.

I was definitely going to talk to them tomorrow and see how I felt. I have already made a significant improvement. No more cough or sore throat. And those were what we're bothering me so. Now I'm just having hot flashes from the steroid shot lol
