when will i feel normal banded may 22,2007

hi all just found this web sight , its great however i need some questions answered. i am having some soreness that makes daily life difficult at this time such as climbing stairs, walking, driving and chasing a 5 year old. I am a bartender and planned on going back to work monday the 4th however i dont know if that is possible with the fatigue and dull pain. on the bright side i have lost 20 pounds so no regrets. so when will i be normal ha ha ha

thanks:confused:

it differs for everyone, I work as a GM in food service in a hospital, and the weekend (5 days) after surgery I was cooking. I also walked a mile a day after the surgery, and constantly chasing my 18 month old around.

Make sure you have plenty of liquids and protien and it should give you the energy you need. However don't push yourself. You need to heal 1st. You don't want complications.

Mel,

I hear ya! I am 32 and was banded on May 21. I have a 5 and 2 year old that I am running after!

To be honest, today is the first day I have felt "normal". I am still sore and somewhat tired, but not to the point its overwhelming everything else. Hopefully, it stays this way. We'll see.

On another note, I have lost 23 pounds total. Yay! But, even though I have lost the weight I am still having a hard time fitting into my clothes. I am still swollen and bloated. I look about 7 months pregnant. Yikes! I'm sure it just takes time.

Congratulations and good luck!

Shauna

Just wanted to say that you will start feeling more like yourself at the two week mark or so. Personally, thats when I started feeling better. Take care and good luck!

Hope your feeling better soon Mel

I just have to say 20 pounds since May 22nd??? WOW! That's phenominal!!! Way to go!!! Keep up like that and you'll be feeling terriffic in no time!

Shauna: 23 pounds since May 21st??? You and Mel are my inspriation!!!

I'm two days out and feeling like a stuffed pig! All this gas and fluids has me looking like I'm 9 months pregnant!!!
