Does anyone have anthem blue cross blue shield? How long does it take to get approved for surgery? Im stressed because i herd after my preop appointment that it could take 6 weeks to get approved.

I have anthem BCBS federal and it took a little over two weeks but legally They have 30 days to make a decision. In my state of Mo anyways. Good luck! Hang in there waiting is the worst part!

My doctors office submitted my paperwork yesterday and I was approved today.

If your ins co takes a long time just stay on them. A lot of insurance companies will drag their feet or create roadblocks to avoid paying and they hope you'll just give up. Never give up, you're paying for insurance for a reason.
