Dr. MARK GIBBS, in Little Rock?

Has any here used him?

What are your impressions?

I was all prepared to use a doctor in Springfield, Mo until I found out that Medicare wouldn't pay if I had it done there.

I have been looking at this doctor also. Have you made your decision yet? I am going to a seminar of his on 01-22-08

I am still working with them, although they leave everything except the surgery up to you and your Primary Dr.

Please post back with your impressions about him.

He struck me as very competent and knowledgeable. But I am not sure about his bedside manner. (That could just be me though. I tend to be oversensitive about stuff like that.)

My first choice is still Dr. Chris Edwards

St. John's Bariatric Surgery Program

In Springfield, Mo. but since I am a Medicare patient It will depend on if they get there Center Of Excellence.

I have decided to use the Dr. in Springfield. I had some other cr@p happen in my life so I am still not at the point of getting my surgery. With any luck I am hoping to get it done this year.

I didn't really have anything against Dr. Gibbs. His bedside manner just didn't set well with me but it is probably more me then him. If the doctor in Springfield doesn't work out, I would not hesitate to use Dr. Gibbs. He did strike me as exceptionally intelligent and competent.
