!st band fill

I was banded 3/8/07 at 344 lbs and weigh 264 now. For the past month I've been losing 3.6 pounds a week. I am not hungry and have no problems with my band yet my doctor wants me to get a fill this week. I am thinking if it's not broke, don't fix it. I don't want to start PB'ing or other things I've read about. Why is he insisting on a fill and if I have to have one, how much should it be for a 10cc band?

any responses appreciated.:help:

First let me say congrats on the W/L! That's amazing! The normal is 1-2 pounds a week, and you are losing more than that. I would sit down and talk to him, tell him you are still losing and really don't need a fill. I wouldn't want one either if I was still losing like that. Good Luck, and let us know what he tells you!

what are you doing to lose that much a week ? i just got banded on june 2, and i would like some advise if you dont mind

thank you kelly

My doctor told me that the fills were necessary in order for the band to work the way it should completely. Would you drive a car without any gas in it? The gas is something that helps your car run, so why would you get a band and not want to have the fill, to help it work completely?
