4 hours

Well, it is 4 more hours and I will be on the banded side... I can hardly believe that this journey is truly about to start. It seemed like it was a long time away when I first started and I remember everyone saying it would be here before I knew it and they were so right!!

I am of course quite anxious, didn't sleep really well last night my mouth has absolutely no moisture in it at all ...lol but I am ok and I will be fine, I know that.

I had a wonderful pre-op visit with Dr. Cobourn and Yes I did get pics with him!! The staff were all terrific and what a wonderful Clinic!! I asked if I could just move in!! lol Rose said there are lots of beds upstairs, -=chuckles=- Dr C said yes but you will get surgery if you are in them...lol I said I guess I will just have to keep moving around!! And hey some of that surgery I might need after this weight loss. Which to date as of yesterday is 22 pounds!! (I will change my ticker later)

So Everybody, please keep me in your thoughts at noon today (ontario time) and I will see you on the banded side shortly.

Shouldn't take me long to walk on over!!!

You'll do GREAT! Just think....the waiting for the surgery is the hard part and now it is almost over!

I forget....did you bring someone with you? (I hope so!). If so, make sure that if you haven't already got your pain prescription (& gotten it filled) that your "buddy" gets the script and then gets it filled while you are undergoing surgery. Then, it will be all ready for you when you need it back at the hotel and you won't have to "wait" for it to get filled etc etc.

Good luck....!

Oh yes, all the best . The waiting is definately the hardest part, before you know it you will be up and about and wonder why you were so worried? Life with the band has been nothing but great. Take care of yourself after surgery, give your self time to heal before you get frustrated that you want to start to lose weight. It still is a mojor surgery and our bodies need to heal before you start the next part of this life changing trip.

Thoughts and prayers coming your way for the next couple of weeks.

Oh Leslielee! I am so excited for you! You are propbably going under as I write this. I am thinking of you. You have my numbers so please don't hesitate to call me if you need ANYTHING or call to chat when you are feeling better.

See you on the banded side!

Hi LeslieLee, I'm sure you're tucked into bed sleeping by now. Please let us know how everything went when you are able. For now, get lots of rest and take care of yourself.

Hi LeslieLee, hope your doing ok. Just a reminder that that pain in your shoulder is gas. Try to walk around a bit and it really helps.

Welcome to the other side. Your in good hands here.

I'm on the banded side!!

Thank you everyone for all the good wishes and thoughts. It really means more than I can say here.

Things went well, I had a hernia repair as well. -=smiles=- nice to know I don't have to worry about that in the future. The clinic and staff were wonderful!

I have been walking around my hotel room trying to get the gas moving. I have had some broth today and wow it was nice to have something warm to sip on. Not to keen on the codiene but.... I have never been one for medications... I did take it though. -=smiles and then makes an yukky face=-

I will write more later!!

Nice to be on this side finally!!

Hey LeslieLee, it's great to hear from you! I'm so glad that everything went well. Welcome to bandland!!!!

Dr. C seems to do alot of hernia repairs. He told me that he's very proactive at looking for them and they are very common, although most people aren't aware that they have one usually.

Isn't the broth great. I remember thinking it was heavenly tasting and then I thought... wait a minute... it's just broth. But I must say I really enjoyed it after the Pre-op diet.

Congrats again and we'll talk to ya soon. Take care of yourself and walk, walk, walk.

:)

Omg, tell me about it, after surgery and pre-op crap, i wasnt even thinking about food, i was just so anxious to drink something that had taste lol. First thing i had was a gatorade.

Hi Leslielee!

Hope you are doing well. Its soo good for me right now seeing you and Marcars posts. Like I said before I am booked for June 7/07. Kinda nervous. Glad to hear you are both doing ok!
