Advice, help, PAIN!

Has anyone experienced pretty severe abdominal pain followed by small spouts of diarrhea? I am 5 days post op and this started yesterday. It come in waves about 30 min apart... I'm not sure what to think. It has lightened in pain and time today. May happen every hour and pain isn't so bad. just wondering if this is my body normally relearning to function or what???

If you haven't already - call your doctor! They should have given you an emergency/after hours contact number, so use it. Severe pain is not normal or something to gamble with after surgery.

Hope you're okay, and things aren't serious, but do consult with them ASAP.

Are you on an all liquid diet? If so, are you drinking 100% juices? Are you diluting them enough? This happened to me the first day I got home because I wasn't diluting my juice enough. The sugar in the juice gave me the runs. I hope you get better soon, it can really dehydrate you.

Are you drinking milk based Protein shakes? Could it be the lactose? I have heard of people developing post-op sensitivity even if the didn't have any before.

I agree a call to your surgeon is needed at this point. Hope you will be feeling better ????
