The support is good

Recommended Posts

I love the fact that my family, friends, and coworkers have been super supportive... To the point where they have threatened to pimp me out... They took the time to learn about my surgery and kept me on track during my pre op liquid diet... I wanted bacon and they would not let me get it....I'm seating here thinking about how I kept so relaxed and never questioned my choose and it was particularly because everyone in my world from family, friends, and coworkers supported my choose not everyone agreed but they support it nevertheless.

3 and a half days left!!!!

@Idonerds I love to see this! Good for you, that support will be so helpful once you are post op!!!

I have similar support and when you have people in your corner routing you on it feels fantastic!! When I was waiting to get my 6 months done and I was wrapping my head around stuff I didn't think I would share what I was doing. But as I did I found such support I wondered why I didn't do it sooner.

I know on these boards I read sometimes how peoples immediate family members are not supportive and sometimes downright horrible, it breaks my heart. This is a HUGE journey we are on, there are ton of roller coaster emotions you will go thru, having someone to share it with to support you is awesome.

Good luck with your journey, cherish those that are supporting and loving you!! You got this girl!!! :D :) :D :)

@@Idonerds So glad to hear you have a fantastic support system! It is very encouraging. I also encourage attending bariatric support groups. I love talking and sharing with others who've had the surgery. I love talking on here, of course, but meeting so many wonderful people in person is very motivating also.

Best of luck on our surgery and keep us updated!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
