questions about diet before refill

I had some problems with my band and had it completely unfilled a couple of months ago. I would throw up every time I tried to eat and I could barely drink Water. I feel now that I am ready to start over again, but was wondering if it would help to do some sort of preop diet or maybe a liquid diet for a while before I get a fill or just go for it. I was banded 5/19/2014 and it seems like I had trouble from the start, but I feel I owe it to myself to give it another try. any suggestions would be helpful. thanks.

I'm not sure how a pre-op diet will help. I would suggest just get the fill and follow the instructions from your doctor.

As long as you don't get filled too much, you will have restriction, but not to a point where you can't eat and keep your food down.

Good luck and keep me posted.

Give it another try? This is a life long commitment to better health and wellness.

@susan58....i would give the doctors office a call...the only thing they tell me is not to eat or drink before a fill...i dont know that any special diet is needed since you already have the band..good luck & keep us posted!
