Odd sensation...

ok so I am getting this odd sensation in my lower throat... I have never had heart burn or acid reflux before so I have NO IDEA if this is what this is...

it almost feels like a burning feeling... like there is food right there and I might puke... haven't changed anything other than adding in coffee which was approved by nut... but that was at 7 am this morning.. I also had this feeling wake me up in the middle of the night with no coffee for the prior 2 days...

kinda hard to explain...

Could this be acid reflux or heartburn?? or is it the new "I'm hungry"?? I just ate an hour and a half ago...

Can I take tums??

Yup sounds like acid reflux! Fun, isn't it?! Lol Tums should work. Hope it goes away soon; it can be very annoying.

Talked to nut today and was told to get prilosec OTC and take one a day for 2 weeks.. Can't deal with it waking me up!

Glad you got something for it. I was talking to a girl, who was walking the halls at the hospital with me that was sleeved same day as I, when I went for my 4 week check up on Thursday. She ended up in the hospital for 10 days because she called the Dr saying she was in pain. Turned out she had acid reflux that went untreated and ended up with a gastric leak... the acid ate right through a staple!! Scary stuff!!!

I was prescribed 40mg of Omeprazole (Priolesec) by my surgeon to take for two full months post-op. I was then allowed to try to go off of it, but immediately stated experiencing reflux, so I went to the over-the-counter dosage of 20mg per day and that has held the reflux at bay. I hope you have similar success with it.
