When did you get your surgery? It must feel good to be under 300!

I'm in SE Mass. Walpole. I'm having my surgery done at St. Elizabeth's with Dr. McCluney.

Great! I guess there aren't many people around me, but my fellow Massachusettsians are a great start! Do you know when you are having your surgery done?

I'm done with all my pre-op testing and they are submitting to insurance next week. I should have a surgery date any day now!

That's wonderful! I will be done with my pre-op testing soon, too. I think I make an appointment with my surgeon on the 13th of February or so! I am so excited. Although I just quit smoking today, so I have to wait 8 weeks before surgery.

That's awesome. Quitting must make things harder! What made you choose Dr. Pecquex? I was referred to Dr. McCluney who is the Assistant Director of the Steward Center for Weight Loss but I don't know much about him...

They actually chose her for me. I didn't know all the docs, so I just went with the one they suggested. I go to Holy Family Hospital, and will have the surgery elsewhere, but I forget where. Maybe we will be in the same hospital!

I bet it's St. Elizabeth's Medical Center where I'm going! I think that's where the surgeries are done. Have you been to any local support groups? They have them at St. E's
