    I bet it's St. Elizabeth's Medical Center where I'm going! I think that's where the surgeries are done. Have you been to any local support groups? They have them at St. E's

    I'm done with all my pre-op testing and they are submitting to insurance next week. I should have a surgery date any day now!

  5. Endoscopy? Pre Op diet?

    My surgeon had me do a barium swallow instead of a endoscopy. Seems odd to me since I have acid reflux and endoscopy are supposed to be more effective. Anyone else experience this? Also, I see that a lot of surgeons require a liquid diet prior to surgery. Mine only mandates easily digestible foods a few days before. I've read quite a few articles about the benefits of a liquid diet before surgery to decrease complications. Anyone else?
