July 2007 Bandsters

Hello,

I haven't seen a July thread yet so I thought I'd start one.

I'm getting banded on July 2 in Florence, KY. :drum: Anyone else out there being banded in July??:clap2:

I hope our friends that had surgery today are doing well. That would be:

Mikel, Blulilly'sHubby, Wrangler, and Jackie.

I'm sure all went well. We can't wait to hear from you!

We have on deck for tomorrow, 7/19:

Kristin, Distant0098, Janiee, and Grammarocoquette

We are praying for you and will be thinking of you tomorrow!!!

Surgery day for me is July 24! Sooooo soon. Good luck to all July bandsters! :clap2:

How did your surgery go. I had my consult with Dr Olsen yesterday. My date is july 31. Dr Olsen operated on my wife in 2002.

Hope you are doing well.

As usual with me, there were some problems. First, I had been told by several different doctors that my hiatal hernia was small. It wasn't! The surgeon doing my lapband said my stomach was up in my chest, so he had to get it out and then repair the large hernia. Also, I had a lot of adhesions from previous abdominal surgery, so he had to cut those loose and said he didn't get them all. Naturally, the surgery took longer than he thought and I am very, very sore. Frankly, I'm looking forward to better days.

Good luck with yours.

Hi Alesha, lets keep in touch and help each other thru the process. Who is your doctor. Are you going to Mexico? I do not know how to get back to the same place in the chat room yet, so it may take me a while to find you. Donna:help::nervous

Hi Donna, i wish i was in Mexico. Im here in wet Ireland. :rain:

Anywho lets keep in touch. Are you nervous? I am so nervous, i am thinking of all these things that can go wrong.

I was supposed to be banded at the start of September, just after my holidays but when i went to the clinic on Wednesday they said they had a date for next week so i jumped on it. I will have 3 weeks recovery before I go on my holidays so hopefully it will give me a chance to get used to the band before i go on my holidays. Im going to Sunny Spain :whoo:

Are you from Mexico or just having the procedure carried out there?

Alesha I live in Indiana, leave for Mexico Thur morning, I am so excited. Worried tho about the cost of fills when I get back. Later Donna

Hey Donna, How are you doing? Hope you feel good.

I had my surgery on Friday and i got home yesterday morning. Felt a bit crapppy yesterday but today is good so far. I have niggly pain at my port site and my left ass cheek is numb from sitting up in bed. I still feel a bit tired so im taking it easy for today.

I had porridge for my brekkie, only about 4 table spoons, with a little milk and sugar. I also had a mashed egg with butter. It was yummy. Have you had anything to eat yet???
