Anyone from Seattle, Washington?

Went to my dietician and they have sent a pre-authorization to my insurance. I am so worried that something will keep me from approval! I am definetly obese and my BMI is well in the required area however I do not really have any other comorbitities (yet). Has anyone came across this issue?

If you are at a provider's office by the time you see the NUT they would not be wasting their time with you if they thought or knew your insurance wouldn't cover. If your BMI is over 40 you should be fine with no co-morbs. Hey, we are having a support group for people in Bothell at the Lyon's den cafe on Sun 1/25 at 3pm. Its open to anyone pre or post surgery and welcome to all types WLS as well. Join us!

I had no comorbidities and was approved at a BMI of 40. It may depend on your record of previous efforts however. I had tried everything in the book.
