I am a loyal bariatric pal reader/writer, but there just aren't enough MGB patients on here for me to find enough information.

Does anyone else have any other favorite forums for MGB? I am interested having my operation in India or Mexico, maybe even Italy. There is even a doctor in India (i think) that is doing robotic MGBs. I'm off to google now.

Hi did you get your surgery done in I did? I'm considering that too please can you tell me the name of hospital and surgeon. Did your experience go well?

What exactly is the mini gastric bypass? Is it for people that need to loose less weight? Never heard of this. Is it new?

MGB is also know as single-anastomosis gastric bypass. IIRC it was developed by Dr. Rutledge about 20 years ago.

EWL is about the same as with RNY bypass.

I used BariatricPal to go to MX. Dr. Illan was my surgeon. I am 1 week post op.

MGB GROUP on Facebook. I am the admin and welcome all pre-surgery and post-surgery MGB folks. We are gearing up for our annual MGB University in Orlando, FL in April. I will post details here soon.
