Betty's Surgery

I will be leaving for the hospital about 4:30 in the morning, my things are all packed except for a few things I have to use in the morning.

I kept extremely busy all weekend to not worry so much, and it worked pretty good.

I will let y'all know as soon as I can how things went.

Thanks again for all the encouragement and support y'all have given to me.

I don't know how I missed this entire post.

Betty congratulations and welcome to bandland! I'm so glad your doing good. Already up and about like a good girl!

Excellant news that everything went well Betty. I'm very happy for you. I was tired the first couple of days, but made myself get up and walk. The more you walk the less gas pain you're likely to feel. I walked so much I was exhausted, but didn't get any gas pain at all. Welcome to bandland!!

Betty,

So glad you are banded! Each day get's better as far as being tired goes. I had the shoulder pain also (left shoulder). I didn't realize it was the gas they filled me with! It took about 5-6 days for it to go away for good. Drink as much Water as you can and feel better soon! Best of Luck,

Thanks Teresa! I am doing better each day. I am looking forward to Thursday though when I go to the doctor and get something else to eat. I am getting tired of the same stuff everyday, and once in a while, I actually hear my stomach growling. I guess that means I am healing huh? lol

Hi Blossom,

Yes, I went back Monday, but didn't stay the whole day, and today I only stayed till noon. I don't want to push myself too much. If I start feeling week, or something I tell them I have to go. Next week will be a lot better I think.

Betty, sometimes my stomach growling is so loud anyone within 10 feet of me can hear it! I think there's either a thread, or a thread hijack discussion of this with some of us, it seems to be something we all noticed after banding... I can live with it considering the advantages of my band... but it is a bit of an embarrassment at times.. like when DH says incredulously, "what the hell was that?"

Hi Betty, How ya doin today? This stomache thing is funny is'nt it! Same thing happened to me the first couple of months.

Pam I loved the husband remark! Somebody turned the volume up thats for sure!
