2 Days post op

Hello all,

I am now 2 post op and resting comfortably at home. I have several questions that I hope I can get some answers to. First I noticed that the bruising around my insision has increased slightly. Mainly increase in the size of the black and blue area, is that normal? Second, I have a lot of gas bubbles that seem to be leaking up my esophagus especially after I take a sip of fluid as well as random bubbling and churning. Is that something I should be concerned about?

Things will improve. My sleeve early out made sounds I never heard in my life before. And still at times I wonder what alien is inside of me :)

Thanks for the info. My Doc told me to take some prilosec and it seemed to have done the trick.

The bruising thing seems to be normal too. I had the same thing happen about a day after surgery, especially around the area they removed the excess stomach and where I was getting heparin shots.

Bruises tend to look worse before they get better. Gas just once of those things either you get It or you don't. Hopefully it will pass soon.

I have a lot of bruising around the bottom-most incision too. All the other incisions are doing ok, but that one looks awful. Doesn't hurt though, just looks like I got punched in the gut, hehe.

Gas for me is getting better. I find it odd that every time I take a sip I hear *gurgle-gurgle* then I usually have to burp a little burp. I just take it as my new stomach is learning how to accept fluids.
