I'm new to the site and wanted to introduce myself. I'm 38 year old, 5'4" and (now) 236 lbs. I had my gastric bypass surgery on December 9, 2014. I am headed into week 3 now. I started at 249 lbs. I currently have high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and hypothyroidism. My goal is to be off of blood pressure medicine and my CPAP machine as soon as possible.
Going into week 3 my questions are:
1. How many calories should I look to get in at this stage? I've currently barely get 300 a day if that from yogurt, Protein shake, and applesauce ????.
2. When starting eggs, tuna, ground chicken, etc., how much should it eat? One scrambled egg? A couple ounces of tuna or chicken? I have a good scale and don't want to do anything to stress my pouch.
3. Does anyone have personal experience with coming off medications or sleeping devices? I'm curious at what stage in your journeys you were able to come off these.
Thanks for all of the support! This site seems like a great community to help go through my journey.
