Eating pizza after VSG

Ok I need some advice. I'm supposed to go out for a birthday lunch at a pizza place today. No one knows I had surgery and I'm not quite 3 months out. How do I go about eating today? Do I have a 1/2 slice or toppings or what? HELP

  • So it was a successful outing! I dabbed all the oil off and tried a little at first to see how well my stomach would take it. Surprisingly I thought the pizza was pretty tasteless so I wasn't eager to

  • I used to be paranoid about going out to functions because I thought people would "notice" what I was (or wasn't) eating. Well guess what? NOBODY NOTICES OR EVEN CARES. Don't stress, just choose smart

  • You could just grab a fork and eat the cheese and toppings and leave all the bread! Just tell your buddies you're just trying to avoid pointless carbs! I did this often on my six month pre-op diet. No

hi all! just a quick little yumyum tip! (especially for at home). if you wanna nibble some pizza and not kill the temperamental sleeves, use a low carb tortilla, some jarred pasta sauce and a string cheese. pop it in the oven for like 8 min and you have a tiny, sleeve friendly pizza!

Had pizza for the first time 6 weeks post surgery and unfortunately loved it. It tasted great, everything has, which means I have to be careful not to fall into old bad habits and start overeating. I just keep telling myself small amounts only.

Here in NJ the pizza places have gray appetizers and sides. Went family orders I get broccoli rabe and sausage and love that. I tell everyone I'm watching carbs. If I need a taste I cut a sliver but the app I get is super satisfying

  • 2 weeks later...

I just eat the toppings as well and only 1 slice. the crust goes in the trash and its usually the works so its veggies and meats. I only eat 2 bites anyway so the calories are not that high for me a day.. I need to actually get more in as Im at 500 a day usually
