My Motivations

Recommended Posts

1. To be able to wear normal, fashionable clothes.

2. To be able to run and move fast as I once did.

3. To be able to ride roller coasters and other rides.

4. To be able to go swimming without being self-conscious about my weight.

5. To be viewed as sexually desirable again.

6. To be able to go out and socialize, parties, clubs, bars, etc.

7. To have my outsides match the person I've always known myself to be internally.

8. To become healthy. (I've already quit smoking.)

9. To hopefully lengthen my life span.

10. To be able to fly comfortably and not be self-conscious about my weight or worry if I'm offending people sitting near me.

11. To further my career.

12. To be able to travel.

13. To not have to be buried in a piano box.

What's yours?

Great post! Keep that list somewhere! You can come back to it when the journey gets tough! I found that really helpful throughout my journey, to keep checking in on my "bucket list". Then it was also extra rewarding to be able to look back and check things off. Good luck to you!

My main motivation is to.......

STOP being a bystander as life passes me by!! :)

There are so many other ones like most that Proud2BMe mentioned but that would be my number one. I am always on the sidelines it seems!!! NO MORE!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
