Delaying fill or no fill

I've only had one fill. It was about 6 weeks after surgery. I've never really depended on the band to stop me from eating a certain amount of food. It does slow me down. I have to chew and be careful

If you don't need a fill, don't get a fill. But the moment you start reverting to pre-band ways of thinking, you need that fill. Don't tough it out or you will not be using your band to its full adv

My first fill happened without question. Same with my second and third. My fourth? He wasn't as sure as I thought I was. So, I got a half fill. I'm NOT getting one in December.

I have been doing pretty good post op ... Not feeling too hungry and steadily losing weight. I have nothing in my band.
My question is if I am progressing nicely will the nurse practitioner tell me I don't need a fill. I would prefer to wait as long as possible to avoid stuck episodes etc. but is this wise or even feasible?
Has anyone had success without fills or very few fills?
