I was informed by my anesthesiologist that the doctor sewed a small hiatal hernia repair after surgery (he was already in his next surgery). I've never been on any meds for GERD and was surprised. If this happened to you did you have any problems with GERD afterwards? I know with the sleeve that sometimes these issues arise.

I had the same repair done during my surgery. I experienced no symptoms from the hernia before or after the repair.

I found out after surgery that they repaired a hiatal hernia during my vsg surgery. I did have a lot of issues with heartburn and a little reflux. Since surgery, all of my symptoms are completely gone. What a relief not to deal with that anymore.
