post op tummy issues?

Hello there!

I am pre op and just beginning my journey. I have and have always had digestive issues after I eat ( not sure why I feel better on an empty stomach most of the time unless I go waaay too long - I almost always feel worse after eating - or should I say OVER eating) I am just curious if anyone post op has had this issue and want to know if this was resolved post sleeve... Thanks.

Maybe the key was that you typically over ate. Just make sure to stop eating at the very first signs of fullness and hopefully you won't have this issue.

I wouldn't be on this site if I didn't have issues with over eating, however I feel like even when I don't overeat I get gassy and bloated and find I am more comfortable on an empty stomach, but then if I wait too long I just feel sick... I just wanted to see if anyone had a similar experience and if bc the sleeve is so much smaller the same occurs even with an appropriate/recommended amount of food... not sure if its food choices, lack of acid, too much acid etc.... I think that's more where I was going with this question. Do dr's address other digestive issues aside from the restricton. Do you have enough stomach acid to digest the food you do eat with your reduced stomach etc... These are the questions I have as a pre op who hasn't attended any meetings etc... I am sure it has been addressed somewhere, but I don't recall where.
