Surgery officially scheduled!

Insurance approved me last week so my surgery is scheduled for December 9. I'm still trying to wrap my head around that it's finally happening! I'm excited and scared and nervous and a whole range of emotions depending on when you ask me!

Anybody else got the pre-op jitters?

Congratulations on your surgery date. I was very nervous! I even cried when they made me walk down the hall to the surgery room. I wondered if I was crazy to have something done to a healthy organ (stomach). I kept reminding myself that I had two options, continue going up on the scale or be proactive and have the surgery. I had my surgery on Dec. 29, so I'm still very much in the sore stage. There's no turning back now.

Bkchick88 congrats to you! The first few days were the worst, so keep on keepin on! It gets better! For me right now, the worst part is that I won't get a fill for 2 more weeks and I don't really feel any restriction at all. I felt restriction for about 10 days but now that the swelling has gone down, I cant eat nearly as much as I used to, but I am feeling the hunger. I am anxious to get my fill! Keep in touch!

I forgot to also say that I too cried on the way to the operating room. The whole thing was scary. As they wheeled me into the operating room the anisthesiologist asked me how I was doing. I was like, "well, I'm here." Lol
