Stall After 2 Weeks

Recommended Posts

I've been in a stall for 9 days which started in week 3. I have a low BMI and have only lost 12 lb plus I'm 63, how long will this last?

I too have been on a stall for 4 days now and tomorrow will be 3 weeks out for me. I've lost 15 pounds since surgery and do know that is a lot of weight to lose in a short time.

Also I've been hungry, it's not stomach acids I take protonics for that. It's real hunger. I'm 57 also have a low BMI so I'm thinking that is why I'm on a stall.

I am 12 days post-op and I have not lost anything in the past five days. I also had a lower BMI and I am in my early 50's. I am doing everything by the book and had expected a stall sooner or later (was hoping for later tbh lol). We just have to trust that the process is working and keep on keeping on. Let's hope it ends soon :)

What you are going through is so common, it has a name. The Dreaded 3 Week Stall. Totally normal, and happens to 99% of us. There are literally hundreds of threads in these forums about it. Fear not! It may last a week or 2, but if you keep doing what you are doing, you will start losing again as soon as it's over! Ms Mac says it best..."Stalls are like lovers. Your first won't be your last". Lol.

I started with a low bmi. Low BMIs usually have slower weight loss. You have less weight to lose so take it slow. I figured out early on that carbs are not my friend. Make sure to keep carbs super low and eat high Protein, and some healthy fats. Water, water, water is your friend.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
