7 days post op......

Yesterday was first time I reached minimum of 48 Oz of fluids so that was a good step. Nausea is doing better, gas pains still here but getting better and the right side abdominal pain from surgery was doing better UNTIL...... Late last night I swallowed down wrong pipe and as you would suspect the violent coughing fit followed. Holy Pain Batman. I am back to the same level of pain I had the first day in hospital. Which is at or close to my pain threshold. I'm wondering if I may be tore something or just irritated the crap out of things in there. At minimum a few day set back on my abdominal pain recovery. Always something. Hope everyone's having a good day on their journeys.

congrats on your surgery. I remember sneezing about 6 days out and thought I was going to die. sneezing and coughing are not fun. I went to a follow up and had no issues from the doc. took about 6 weeks until I didn't feel any pain in my stomach.
