Can anyone tell me if drinking a lot of water causes any issues? I have water in my hand or near by at all times.

:youcandothis: ok while not being able to sleep much last night trying to make a decision on lapband I realized that in the seminar that Dr. Spivak said he secured the lapband with 2 stitches. What he did not mention is how does the port stay in place? You guys are so helpful here, thanks so much

The band is in a different location. The port is sewn into the fascia, that is tissue above a muscle and below a fat pad.

No drinking 1/2 hour before or after meals. Helps to keep from pushing food through the band.

Doctors differ on water issues. For example my doc says drink up to the time to eat and nothing for two hours after eating.
