Serving size

On my pre-op diet, and I am supose to have 5 shakes a day. How much is one serving? The directions of the package is not very good. This morning I put one scoop with 20oz of water (20g of protien). I want to make sure I get the right amount.

It depends on the brand. My powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury shakes suggest 1 scoop for 6-8 ounces of Fluid. That goes the same for Isopure and Syntrax nectars. If I want something that actually feels and tastes like a shake, I will use 2% dairy milk or almond milk. If I want something thinner then I will use 12-16 ounces of Water or Crystal Lite. My favorite is Unjury vanilla with 8 ounces of milk and a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg, and one sweetener. It tastes kind of like egg nog.
