Heart burn post op

The last couple of days my throats been burning and when I drink either my water or shake, I have lots of gurgly noises from stomach to my throat. I'm 14 days post op. Not sure what to make of this. I will call my Dr. tomorrow but has anyone else had this? I did take a Pepcid before and it seemed to help.

I don't know if this is the reason or not, but did the surgeon prescribe a medication to minimize the stomach acid, i.e., Protonix? Best to call though.

I have been taking Omeprozole since surgery (12/23/2013) with no problem with reflux. I did have a sore throat for a couple of weeks. My tummy still gurgles quite randomly. Sometimes it is quite and sometimes it sounds like a fierce dinosaur fight. Not even sick to my stomach either way.

I take Omeprazole daily since surgery too, prescribed by my dr since the day of surgery. I think this is standard for all sleeve patients. If you cannot get an answer from your doc's office fast you might want to buy something over the counter and try it.

As far as the noisy stomach, mine is just randomly gurgly every day and I'm 4 months out.
