Post menopause and lap band

I hadn't had a period in two years. I had surgery July 30th and the weight is coming off. I only have one issue and that is since surgery I have been spotting monthly very light. Very similar to a period. I have the lower back pain but not really cramping. I was wondering if anyone else ran into this same issue and what I should do about it. Should I contact my doctor, or is it just a part of rapid weight loss?

Having surgery can make your hormones and other things like us being pre menopausal or just menopausal go wacky , if it were me I would call my surgeon and ask them just to make sure , I also hadn't had my time for about a year and a half before surgery about a week or 2 after surgery it was like my norm and I texted my Surgeon to call me because I had a issue that I needed a answer to and he assured me it was because I had major surgery and if it didn't stop in a few days to call him , and it had and I haven't had one since that week or 2 after surgery , so please ANY CONCERNS call your Doctor .
