Scale frustration

Recommended Posts

Do you ever think there is a point when your body says I'm not going to let any more lbs go? I'm so frosted I want to loose the last 15 lbs and my body won't give it to me.

I have had a few stalls and it is a little frustrating, but I know it will come. I have been having to heal myself and at most times have been unable to eat and sometimes drink.

My body has gone into starvation, I am sure. I just wish it would go out! When I lose, I lose basically a pound a day. Seeing those same numbers every time I get on the scale is discouraging at times.

I bottomed out after seven months. I maintained that weight for a year. Then I contracted a 7-day stomach flu. I found it hard to eat. Lost a pound a day for a week. Then about a month later, I lost my taste for food for a few days. So between these two events, I lost a total of 10 pounds. I decided to maintain this new level and have done so for around 2 months.

When you are at bottom, there is another concern. It is that your body no longer has the protective reserve of fat to rely on should you suddenly get sick and lose weight.

Point taken.....just stinks to do everything right and see no results. I really think my body just won't give anymore up

I am only 4 months out and feel like I am at a plateau. Does this happen often in the journey? I started working out with a personal trainer and the weight really slowed down. I'm freaking out a bit.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
