How long between surgeries?

Just trying to get an estimate ... my surgery coordinator is on vacation so I have to wait to ask her.

I have to have my band removed. And then my doc wants me to heal a bit before doing the sleeve.

How long did yall have to wait inbetween?

I waited almost 3 months. This seems like surgeons make this decision based on their gut feeling since I have seen no research that indicates the "ideal" waiting time or that it is even better than one surgery.

I also waited about 3 months, although my doctor only required 8-10 weeks. My wait was longer because of the insurance process.

Friend from my dr support group had to wait 3 months. For myself, I had my gallbladder out 10 weeks after my sleeve, not quite the same situation as you, but I did feel like I didn't even get a chance to get better before I got cut again. Hopefully after whatever waiting period, you feel strong and healthy to take on the next round of snip snip. Take care of yourself!

Mine is going to do both at the same time. I get a date on the 6th for when. Ins. approved both at the same time.

I am having mine done in one surgery on the 20th. Just went to my pre-op today. The doctor did say that he only does one revision as his only surgery of the day as it can take up to 6 hours as opposed to 40 min for sleeve surgery.

Mine was one surgery it took about ninety ninety loggers because of banding scar tissue but so far I am all good.
