If your NUT says eat a green salad, enjoy it!!

Like anything post-op, it's up to the NUT. And yes, NUTS know everything.

Just a little bariatric humor!

I tired salad around then to see how I handled it. I just started off really slow. I still don't eat a lot of salad but I have a couple bites here and there.

In my program they recommend we not try salad until 6 months after surgery. I didn't wait quite that long and tried a little at around 5 months. It didn't cause me any issues at that time and I've had salads a few times since with no troubles.

At 2 months out I wouldn't have dreamed of trying salad, but I've also tried to be extremely strict about following all of the guidelines they set out in my program.

I was not restricted at that point but as everyone else has already said, what does your plan say?
