Pineapple regret

I was sleeved 8/13 and have lost 47 lbs total. I've been introducing new foods slowly into my diet and tried pineapple for the first time yesterday (fresh spears from Costco). I've been sick all day today. Anyone else experience this (maybe I have a touch of the flu . . . .)?

too much sugar? hopefully some vets can chime in for you!!! hope you feel better soon.

I started out with soft, less acidic fruits....pears, mangos, peaches. I didn't try any citrus or fibrous fruits until about 5 months out. I didn't have any problems at that point. In fact, frozen pineapple chunks were one of my goto summer treats. Maybe it was just too soon for you, whether it was the sugar or texture or acid. Wait a month or two and try again.

I'm 10 months out and still struggle with fruits and veggies...Pineapple can be bad for me. Cherries this summer caused me great pain!

salad is something I can't do much of either - I used to love sitting down to a nice fresh salad for dinner. Can't do it any more. A salad for me is about 1/4 cup of finely chopped romaine. Maybe 1 or 2 cherry tomatoes and a couple of tablespoons of red bell pepper.

This weekend I did have some pineapple - two chunks is all. I chew, chew, chew and chew some more. Any more than a couple of chunks and I would be in pain. I have a real hard time with oranges, too.
