Hi everyone! Newbie on Board!

My surgery date is November 26 and I am so nervous and anxious. I really have no idea of what to expect, all the information is overwhelming and it is a MAJOR change in lifestyle. I keep coming back to the same fear of not being able to follow through. Is anyone out there is as anxious as I am???

Read some post on what to expect. also look for the suggestion list of things to take to the hospital with you. Great info.

So normal to feel the way you do. Hang in there. How long did you have to wait for approval?

Almost a year. I had one surgeon do something that were shady and he lost his surgery privileges and is most likely being investigated.

Without naming the surgeon or whatever, what happened to you, if you don't mind me asking? And whatever it is, I hope you're ok now. =)

I had done all my pre-op testing and I was just waiting patiently for a date for months and when I finally through, his staff tells me that he is no longer performing surgeries. I did some research and I found a review that said he was charging patients on the side off the books.
