Mr Yoda isn't starting "full fluids" until tomorrow (Thus). According to the instructions he got: he was banded on the 4th and the day following surgery (ie. Sat) was to be "water only". Then it was to be followed by 4 days of "clear fluids" (ie. Sun-Wed). So, he isn't starting the full fluid stage until Thurs.

I was told day 1 was surgery day and water only (friday) so then i figured saturday, sunday, monday, tuesday clear fluids (4 days) and day 6 till day 16 full fluids...so today i started on cream of tomato and cream of brocoli soup....its nice...im happy...better than juice and broth. Now in a few days im sure ill be anxious to get on the pureed food

i know i dont feel full at all. Not sure if I did anything wrong or if this is normal. Finding it hard making suppers for others. Dont feel satisfied at all. Hoping it will pass.

any "fullness" you may feel now will only be from the swelling of the surgery (ie. around the stomach area etc)....most likely not from the band itself. So, be prepared...once the "swelling" goes down you will become very very very very hungry and will get hungrier as time goes on. It will be a matter of sheer willpower until you have your first fill...which hopefully will curb the hunger somewhat. But even after your first fill, you will most likely still feel hunger (will vary from person to person) until you reach the proper level of restriction FOR YOU>

In other words, don't be surprised and don't expect to not have any hunger....you WILL be hungry and at times will be stark raving starving until you have the right restriction.....tis a journey and you have to get through the "bad" to get to the good.

I was lucky - I have a bit of restriction without a fill yet. I seem to feel full more quickly and don't get too many hunger pangs though a couple of times my DH mentioned he could hear my stomach rumbling a bit. Its an unusual feeling those hunger pangs... didn't hear them much before. But when I feel them I have some applesauce or something small.

Yesterday was my first really hungry day. I had a Protein shake for Breakfast, cream of tomato Soup for lunch and pomegranate juice, when I came home I had 1/2 c. veggie juice and then a full can of cheddar cheese soup (I know the calories in that are high, but I felt I needed some). Then later had another 1/2 c. veggie juice and a sf popsicle.

This was the most I have eaten in weeks! My scale went up about a pound this morning, but I am not going to worry about that yet.

I cheated a little and had chicken and rice soup yesterday for lunch and a smashed up ground chicken meatball with mango salad for dinner. I chewed really well and I felt like I could eat more so I got up from the table. I have experienced the stuck in the throat feel but no pb thank God. Remember to chew chew chew I'm thinking that I don't have much restriction.
