On track for November...

Had my second dietician visit yesterday. She said that by the next time I see her (9/30), I will have all of my other insurance requirements met already. We will set a tentative surgery date and will schedule a meeting with the surgeon (in October).

I can only imagine. It seemed to take forever to get from the seminar to my first appointment, but it seems to be going quickly since then! Though the multiple appointments have made it go fast...

The lady at my doctor's office rocks. We submitted the papers to the insurance today (my BMI is still 40 and my initial was like 45), so it's probably going to be an automatic approval :: fingers crossed:: So even though I am not yet approved, she still booked me for surgery. Woot Woot!!! I am having it done on Nov 17th. As long as my insurance company approves it. Though I see no reason for a denial, but insurance companies are so sneaky.

I can't wait for the surgery... I am just curious if I will recognize the face in the mirror when I lose the weight and see myself.

I just called the ins company and they told me that my authorization is effective for Dec 3rd. I asked what that meant and she said the doctor has to give them a date the auth is for and they gave dec 3rd. So I guess that when my surgery is??? She says they have one year from the date of auth to actually use it. Dag....Dec???? That's 2 more months. Omg. Glad Im approved but feeling disappointed that it wont be November. FYI...I have BCBS Federal Standard Option. It took 1 week for approval.
