Port Site Pain

Hi All! I am 6 days out from surgery and my stomach feels almost back to normal except by the port site. I have bad pain there. It feels like I pulled a muscle badly with sharp pain. A heating pad helps. Is this normal? I feel like it may have gotten slightly worse as I've gotten back to my routine. Did anyone else experience really bad port pain?

I read in another post that the port pain lasts anywhere from 3 to 6 months. Mine hurts sometimes too, but I've noticed that it's only when I move certain ways.

Thanks. Same with me. It gets worse in certain positions.

Totally normal. They attached you port to a muscle in your stomach so it will hurt for awhile. I am four months out and sometimes I still have a little discomfort when I do certain things.
