Everything went great! My doc was really happy about how I'm doing and said I'm "ahead of the game." He told me just to keep doing what I'm doing. I can increase my activity to 60 min per day, and he told me that I don't need 80g of protein (which I was aiming for) and that 60-70g was enough (I'm 5'5"). I've been experiencing orthostatic hypotension, which he said could be mild dehydration, or just my body's way of adjusting to ketones and decreased carbohydrate intake. It should get better
. Overall, I feel amazing! If it weren't for the reduced amount of food I can eat, I wouldn't know I even had surgery! Dr. Long also gave me a copy of my surgery and pathology reports, which were very interesting to read. The pathology report said the portion of stomach that was removed was 25cm in length by 5.3 cm in diameter! He used a 40 French boogie for sizing in surgery. Sooooooo happy how this new life is starting off!!!!!
