How long to drink shake?

I was just wondering how long it takes you all to drink about 6 ounces of a thinned protein shake? I had my surgery 4 days ago. It takes me about 15 minutes to drink my shake. Wondering if I should be drinking it slower? I don't feel pain in my chest, so I don't think I am over-filling. Thoughts?

  • You will need to drink 30 min before or after meals. If I dink too soon I get bad chest pains. When I was in early stages I was told to sip every 5 minutes. I treated premiere shakes just like any

  • I'm 3 wks po and it still takes me a while to drink my shake anywhere from 15-30min. Sometimes because I'm watching tv and sometimes it just takes a while to get it down. I can't take large sips(gulps

One more question - are you all waiting to drink water 30 min before and after to drink your shake? Seems to me that since it is liquid, I wouldn't necessarily have to wait unless my stomach is full. I feel like all I do all day long is drink (sip)!!
