Birth control Pill and weightloss

Hello,

Im new here and doing the process in having a revision lap band to sleeve. Has birth control pill affect your weigth loss after surgery?

    i was off BCP for 5 wks prior to surgery and also for 5 wks post surgery and have been restarted on it for almost 2 full weeks and no issues. still losing steadily even after restarting it.

    Did doctor ask to be off BCP. before and after surgery of was your choice?

    I only had to be off birth control 10 days prior to surgery and got right back on it the Friday after my surgery since my surgery was on a Monday. They highly recommend it . But then again idk how it is with the pill since I am on Nuvaring
