Pre op weigt loss

I'm freaking out that I've only lost 8 lbs in the last 11 days of my pre op diet. My surgery is the day after tomorrow and I feel like I should have lost more than this by now. Anyone else have this happen?

Think calming thoughts. Did your surgeon give you a number to lose, or were you just expecting more of a loss?

I was expecting more of a loss. I have lost 27lbs and was only given 10 to 12 to lose, but I was really hoping to lose at least 15 on the pre op. I'm very disappointed.

Wow, that's awesome Paula. That's more than I lost. You should be very proud of yourself! 27lbs is NOTHING to be disappointed about. You go, girl!

Please do not get stressed about your weight loss before your surgery.Everybody reacts differently to a diet change and so have you. 8lbs in 11 days is not very bad.Just keep your focus on the upcoming surgery which is more important. If all goes well with the surgery, weight loss will follow. So do not be disappointed and feel relaxed and calm.Good Luck and Take Care.
