Preop Fast
Yes. The broth and the jello, along with just water and apple juice....it was pretty bad for me and I only had to do it for one day. I ended up doing it for two, just in case.

vitamin questions
I wouldn't take them. :-( did you open them already? If not take them back and exchange them. If you did...then yeah I hate to say it but you did waste money.

Preop Fast
Having just gone through the clear liquid diet...I would say wait. I had broth at 11:00am and about 1:00pm my body began revolting against me. I didn't 'eat' the rest of the day. But this is just my personal experience.

Need AUGUST bypass buddies!
My surgery is in 8.5 hours. I'm a bundle of nerves. My stomach is gurgling and has been since 1 pm. Anyone else who has already had their surgery, is this normal?

Need AUGUST bypass buddies!
I've been through the gallbladder surgery too. The surgeon attempted laparoscopically, but ended up opening me up. Thanks for post-op info..it helps calm fears (a little..lol).

Need AUGUST bypass buddies!
My surgery is Friday, 8/8, and I am definitely in the freaking out mode. I have half day at work left and then when I come home it is liquids only. Someone mentioned turning off the tv, and I have to say a big heck yeah to that!!!

Podcasts?
Do you have the ability to add the apps of Pandora or iHeart Radio? Pandora has a genre station for workouts that I <3! Both are free too!

Pre op weigt loss
Think calming thoughts. Did your surgeon give you a number to lose, or were you just expecting more of a loss?

Scale
I've had a scale for a long time. Mine even talks to me. Lol. It greets me with a 'hello, I'm ready'. I always smile because I am usually thinking, 'that makes one of us!' It's a high capacity scale, because I started out at 480.6. At one time I was at 494 and about sat in the floor and cried. But today I am hovering around 435 with my surgery scheduled for Friday of this week. I think seeing the numbers go down, for me, is exciting. And yes, you can get scale-crazy, but you have to remember it is a tool, just like the surgery.
