  • I detoxed myself from coffee pre op too. I didn't want to deal with withdrawal from caffeine after surgery. But to answer your question, my doc was ok with coffee pre op.

My best advice to you on this is to taper that cup down in size - you will want to undergo your caffeine withdraw prior to surgery so that you aren't doubly miserable with the change. Unfortunately, after your sleeve, you won't be able to have caffeine for some time ( it interferes with you getting all your hydration unfortunately. ) I would try and start on some decaf to get used to the flavor.
